West Lincoln council has voted in favour of removing Mayor Dave Bylsma from council appointments.
Council voted unanimously in favour of stripping the mayor of his council appointments, which include his seat on the West Lincoln Heritage Committee and as a representative on the Peninsula West Power Inc. board.
Bylsma is facing backlash after sending a Facebook message to a St. Catharines resident, asking if she noticed changes to her period after getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
Council also issued an apology to the woman, saying Mayor Bylsma's actions go against the Township's Code of Conduct.
