A man and a woman from Welland are facing drug charges.
Police began an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs at an area residence earlier this month, identifying a male suspect.
The suspect was stopped and arrested yesterday near Boulder Lane and Victoria Street in Welland yesterday.
Officers discovered a loaded handgun, $6,000 and three individually wrapped packages containing what is believed to be fentanyl and crystal meth.
A search warrant was conducted on his residence, located on Lincoln Street near Wellington Street.
Investigators seized fentanyl, crystal meth, cocaine, percocet and hydromorphone.
The street value of the drugs is estimated to be around $104,600.
Police arrested 53 year old John Joseph Hibbert and 26 year old Brianne Ashely Adams, who resides with Hibbert.
The pair stand accused of several drug related offences.
Hibbert also faces numerous weapon related charges.
