The city says this has the potential to create up to 800 jobs
The City of Welland is buying up two pieces of land it wants to use for economic growth.
Both of them are on Ridge Road, near Highways 140, the 406, 58A, and existing employment land.
The city say once developed, this will form Welland's 7th business park, supporting an estimated 18 lots, and creating the potential for up to 800 jobs.
The city also says the term "employment land" is being used, as opposed to the traditional "industrial land".
Employment land encompasses a wider range of businesses, from advanced manufacturing and logistics, to technology and green innovation.
