A candlelight vigil has been planned for tonight for the victims of Sunday night's mass shooting attack at a Toronto-area condo.
York Regional Police say five people were killed and one woman injured when a 73-year-old gunman went on a shooting rampage in his Vaughan condo building before he was shot dead by police.
The vigil will happen outside Vaughan City Hall starting at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Steven Del Duca is expected to deliver remarks.
Police identified those killed as 57-year-old Rita Camilleri, her 79-year-old husband Vittorio Panza, 75-year-old Russell Manock, his 71-year-old wife Lorraine Manock, and 59-year-old Naveed Dada.
Another woman, 66-year-old Doreen Di Nino, the wife of the condo board's president, was also shot but survived.
Court documents show the shooter had a long-running beef with the condo's board and police believe he went door-to-door in the building, gunning down some of its members and their loved ones.
