Two teenagers facing assault charges
Two teenage boys have been charged after a stabbing in St. Catharines.
Police say a 14-year-old from St. Catharines and a 15-year-old from Welland were arrested yesterday.
The 14-year-old is accused of assault with a weapon (knife) and the 15-year-old is accused of assault with a weapon (skateboard).
On May 20th, a man suffered minor injuries after he was stabbed at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines.
According to police, the victim was approached by the suspects in the food court.
After a short conversation, one of the teens stabbed the man, and dropped the knife as they fled.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
A bail hearing will take place later today, and police are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 905-0688-4111, option 3, extension 1009511.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the names of the suspects have been withheld.
