Police say $19,000 in drugs found, after pair watched at vehicle on Morrison Street
Two people from Niagara Falls have been arrested after police say they were caught putting illegal drugs into a vehicle.
It all started in December, when police began an investigation into drug trafficking, leading them to watching the two at the vehicle on Morrison Street on Tuesday.
They were arrested, police finding:
- $940 Canadian Currency
- 23.5 grams fentanyl (street value $2700)
- 63.9 grams crystal methamphetamine (street value $6390
- 66 hydromorphone tablets (street value $2640)
During the investigation, since last year, police watched the pair frequent a hotel room on Lundy's Lane, and an apartment on Barker Street, where more drugs, and guns were found:
- 42 hydromorphone tablets (street value $840)
- 32.4 grams fentanyl (street value $6480)
- 3 functioning replica handguns
- 12-gauge shot gun round
Police say 34-year old Matthew Myhal is charged:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl) (2 counts)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone) (2 counts)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 Counts)
38-year old Staci Gibb, also of Niagara Falls is charged:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl) (2 counts)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone) (2 counts)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5000
Both had a bail hearing yesterday.
