Victims suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries
Two people have been hospitalized after a stabbing in Fort Erie.
Around 7:00 this morning, officers were called to a home on Marina Drive near Green Acres Dr.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were found with serious stab wounds.
Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
According to police, the stabbing occurred after a verbal argument escalated.
Investigators say the victims and the suspect knew each other.
A short time later, a suspect was arrested on Kennedy Drive.
25 year old James Jonathan Smith of Fort Erie faces two counts of aggravated assault.
A bail hearing will take place tomorrow.
