Police able to track it down due to GPS
Three people from Niagara have been caught after a box trailer was stolen from a home in Grimsby.
Police were called yesterday, to find a man was at the property on Wednesday, when he took the lock off, and then just before 5am, yesterday, three people came back and stole it.
Fortunately, there was a GPS device in the trailer, which led police to a property on Brand Road in Grimsby, where they found it.
Police arrested 46-year old Christopher McLaughlin of West Lincoln, 34-year old Samantha Douglas of Grimsby, and 31-year old Frank Shadbolt of Grimsby, all charged with the same offences:
- Theft over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
McLaughlin and Douglas were released with future court dates, Shadbolt has a bail hearing today.
