Police found fentanyl, and the driver's licence suspended
Police finding more fentanyl in Niagara, after a traffic stop in Welland.
It was Saturday afternoon when they were patrolling the East Main Street and Division area, and they stopped a vehicle.
Officers say they noticed what appeared to be drug trafficking items, and further investigation revealed the driver's licence was under suspension.
The woman was arrested, and police found over $1,400 in drugs.
They charged 38-year old Heather Caldwell of Welland with:
- Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Driving While Under Suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
She was released with a future court date.
