Residents and commercial season pass holders can continue to use physical cards this season.
The Town of Fort Erie is hitting the pause button on a new electronic system to purchase Bay Beach passes.
Officials say the system will be launched next year, to ensure a high level of service for beachgoers.
In the meantime, residents and commercial season pass holders can continue using a physical card.
Residents can get free beach access by bringing proof of residency to the beach.
Once season passes are available, passes will be sold at the Bay Beach main entrance.
Non-residents can buy passes at the beach beginning June 3rd.
The cost for a day pass is $5.00 per person for beach access Mondays through Thursdays, and $10 per person Fridays through Sundays, as well as on holidays.
