Remembrance Day ceremonies to be held across Niagara
At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we take are asked to pause for two minutes to remember the brave women and men who have served and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict and peace.
In Niagara, there are several services set for this morning including:
Niagara Falls Fairview Cemetery, 10:45 a.m. (Livestream available)
Welland Chippawa Park, 10:45 a.m.
Niagara-on-the-Lake, multiple locations, 10:15 a.m.
Pelham, Veterans Park, 10:45 a.m.
Grimsby Museum, 10:50 a.m.
Port Colborne, H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, 10:45 a.m. (Livestream available)
St. Catharines Cenotaph, 10:45 a.m. by invitation only (Livestream will be available)
Wainfleet Cenotaph, 10:45 a.m.
The Premier will also host a Remembrance Day ceremony to honour the bravery, courage and sacrifice of past and present members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

As well banks, government offices and the post office are closed today.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the poppy.
The Great War Veterans' Association of Canada officially adopted the symbol in 1921.
