Thorold Man Arrested for Child Pornography

Thorold man charged after police receive a tip about the online sexual exploitation of children.

A man from Thorold is facing child pornography charges.

Police say the investigation kicked off earlier this month.

On November 16th, officers arrested 44-year-old William Russell Dorey of Thorold for failing to comply with a release order.

Police say after that arrest, evidence was found of additional crimes, and he was arrested again earlier today.

Dorey stands accused of the following crimes:

Make Child Pornography
Make Child Pornography Available
Fail to Comply with Release Order

The suspect is due in court tomorrow.

Police made the arrest with help from Niagara Parks police, finding fentanyl and cocaine earlier this week
