Police called to Port Colborne high school after gun was seen
Two 15-year old Port Colborne boys are facing weapon charges after the lockdown of three schools in Port Colborne.
Police were called to the high school yesterday just after 1, after it was reported a teen boy had a gun.
Out of caution, the school, along with Steele Street and McKay public schools were put in lockdown while police searched for the gun.
It wasn't found, but eventually students were allowed to leave.
Some time later, police say the gun was found at a location outside the high school.
The teenagers have a bail hearing today in St. Catharines, and the Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits their names from being released.
They're both charged with possession offences, but one is also facing a careless use charge.
