The province’s third emergency declaration of the pandemic went into effect at 12:01 this morning
Included in the declaration, a province wide stay at home order requiring everyone to remain at home except for essential purposes like going to the grocery store or pharmacy or a medical appointment.
People are also asked to exercise close to home and with the people they live with.
Non essential retailers can only offer curbside pickup or delivery.
Discount and big box stores can only sell groceries, household cleaning supplies, pharmacy items and pet supplies, all other aisles must be blocked off.
Outdoor garden centres, plant nurseries and indoor greenhouses can operate at 25 per cent capacity with restrictions on their hours
Meanwhile, Clifton Hill Niagara tweeting out its venues are now closed.
Officials say they will continue to update information as details change.
