The Canadian economy grew by 0.3 percent
The Canadian economy experienced a little growth in May.
According to Statistics Canada, the economy grew by 0.3 percent.
This is a little lower than initially expected, as gas and oil mining companies reduced operations in Alberta due to wildfires.
Meanwhile, preliminary estimates suggest real GDP grew by about 1 percent.
The increase is partially due to a rebound in the public administration sector, as federal public servants ended their strike and were back on the job by the end of April.
