The City of St. Catharines is going to start the public naming process for the Lakeside Park Pavillion.
City Council passed a motion, to also consider naming it after late Rush drummer Neil Peart.
He grew up in Port Dalhousie and even wrote a song about the park.
Peart passed away earlier this month after a battle with brain cancer. He was 67-years-old.
Mayor Walter Sendzik brought the motion forward Monday night.
It also orders city staff to consult with the Peart family and the band's representatives in regards to any naming, memorials, events and concerts in Peart’s honour or Lakeside Park.
