The city says 2 locations have been renovated, one is not quite done
Beach season is slowly approaching, and the City of St. Catharines is preparing.
It has been working on renovations and Lakeside and Sunset beaches, Lakeside park is open, and washrooms ready for May 1st.
As the city looks at Sunset Beach renovations, costing $6.9-million, with $4.4-million from the provincial government, the contractor is expected to open it sometime in May.
Some work will continue beyond re-opening, such as the playground, and finishing touches to the boat ramp.
Visitors will see general parking lot enhancements, upgrades to trails and picnic tables, and shoreline protection.
