Association of Municipalities annual meeting virtual for second year in a row
The mayor of St. Catharines is praising his city’s efforts at this week’s annual Association of Municipalities meeting.
Walter Sendzik says the city was represented by its largest delegation ever who brought a number of issues forward to Ontario’s political leaders.
The mayor met with a number of provincial ministers to discuss a wide range of issues from GO Transit to increasing diversity in municipal fire services.
Mayor Sendzik also spoke with provincial officials about creating a provincial science table to bring together experts to deal with the opioid epidemic that is currently affecting every community in Ontario.
