The municipalities had their 1st AGM last week, working together to grow tourism
Growing tourism and the overall economy the focus of the 1st St. Catharines-Lincoln Destination Partnership Annual General Meeting.
It happened late last week, designed to coordinate a regional approach after years of discussions between Lincoln and St. Catharines, to attract visitors.
A news release shows members recognize that tourism plays an important role in job creation, and support small businesses.
The meeting finished with the election of Board of Directors.
Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton says partnering with St. Catharines means strengthening the Niagara Benchlands for tourism.
St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe noting it lines up with the Destination Niagara from the provincial government to grow Niagara tourism.
