The Special Investigations Unit will not be charging an NRP officer after a motorcycle crashed into a police cruiser in West Lincoln.
It says the bike was speeding down Sliver Street back in August when it passed an NRP cruiser.
The officer notified another officer over the radio, and the second officer tried to pull the bike over.
The motorcyclist made a U-turn and crashed into the first officer’s cruiser, which had been parked across the eastbound lanes of traffic.
A 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with a separated shoulder and fractured finger.
SIU Director Joseph Martino has found no reasonable grounds to charge the first officer.
