NRP searching for suspect
Police are investigating a sexual assault in Thorold involving a 12 year old victim.
Officers were called to Ormond Street South and Lyndon Street East yesterday evening just before 8:00.
There they met with the victim and determined five kids had been swimming in the area and were walking on a trail when an unknown man approached the group and sexually assaulted one of the children.
The suspect left the area of foot
The K9 Unit was brought in and was unable to locate the suspect.
Police say they are looking for a white male, 40 to 50 years of age with a medium build and a belly, grey, black scruffy facial hair wearing a ball cap, grey or black shirt and baggy jeans.
Any residents or businesses in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 6:45PM and 8:45PM yesterday.
