Province to make pilot project permanent
The province is expected to announce today the 110 km/h speed limit on some sections of Ontario highways will become permanent starting April 22nd.
Canadian Press is reporting Transportation Minister Caroline Mulroney will make the announcement.
The move applies to a section of the QEW from Hamilton to St. Catharines, Highway 402 between London and Sarnia, Highway 417 in Ottawa, the 401 between Windsor and Tilbury and the 404 from Newmarket to Woodbine
The Transport Minister is also expected to announce the speed limit will climb to 110 km/h on Highway 400 and Highway 11on a trial basis.
