Trucks intentionally bypass QEW scale
A number of police forces have taken more trucks off the road they say are intentionally bypassing the Vineland truck scale on the QEW.
This is in response to community concerns in Lincoln and West Lincoln, and yesterday police inspected 40 passenger and commercial vehicles.
As a result, police say 17 were taken off the road for significant safety concerns, one was impounded, and two sets of licence plates were taken.
Further to that, police handed out 37 tickets for various offences, and, one person was arrested in relation to a suspended driver.
