Game goes tomorrow afternoon at 3:00
The Sabres will be home tomorrow afternoon, playing in the NHL’s first Pride Game against the Pittsburg Penguins.
The goal of the game is to bring together two cities to celebrate the LGBTQ+ communities by sharing stories of inclusion and hope.
During warm up, players from each team will wear commemorative pride jerseys with a Progress Pride Flag.
Their sticks will be taped in rainbow colours and the warmup pucks are also expected to be colourful.
All of these items, along with autographed memorabilia, will be auctioned off online after the game.
The auction will run until April 24th at noon.
All proceeds will go towards You Can Play " an organization that aims to promote athletes regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
More information on the game can be found here.
