Much confusion surrounding the NHL’s decision to postpone last night’s Buffalo Sabres game against the Islanders.
The NHL says because of the storm hitting the east coast, the Sabres had planned to fly out early, but that required COVID contact tracing and testing protocols which the league says could not be completed “ appropriately.”
League officials decided to reschedule the game instead.
What the NHL did not address is the fact the Sabres played the New Jersey Devils in back to back games over the weekend.
On Monday 10 Devils players were placed in what the league calls its COVID-19 protocol.
