Intersection of Keefer Road and Seaway Haulage Road closed
The St. Catharines Fire Department has issued another update following last week's fire at a chemical facility on Keefer Road.
Officials say the investigation continues this week, and the intersection of Keefer Road and Seaway Haulage Road is closed.
Nearby businesses will be able to access Keefer Road from Read Rd.
However, residents are still being asked to stay away.
A worker inside the facility was killed after experiencing severe burns.
Nobody else was inside the building when the fire occurred.
The Ontario Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
St. Catharines Fire Chief Dave Upper says the investigation is expected to last about seven to ten days.
