Monday will see a full highway closure for demolition of old overpass
A heads up for motorists who frequent the QEW in Niagara.
Construction at the Glendale Avenue exit is ramping up entering Stage 4 this weekend which means there will be some highway closures that could impact your commute.
Starting tomorrow (September 23) and running through Sunday several sequences of closures will take place.
The exact timing of each is unknown but work will start tomorrow at 10 p.m. and be completed by September 26th at 5 a.m.
Detours will be posted.
All these weekend closures will lead up to Monday's complete demolition of the existing Glendale Avenue overpass.
The QEW in both directions and Highway 405 Toronto Bound will be completely closed between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
The demo is weather permitting and if it rains Monday, the closure will be bumped to Tuesday.
