Health care centres in Niagara get helping of $12.2-million
A number of Niagara Health Care centres are receiving part of $12.2-million in provincial funding to connect more people to primary health care.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff announced yesterday this includes Bridges and Quest Community Health Care Centres, and REACH Niagara.
He says it means more access to doctors, dieticians, or speech pathologists. "Who then, when people come in through the front door, or call their number and want to be connected to primary care, they can roster more patients. So, practically, it's expanding their ability to hire more people, and bring in more doctors."
The government says the centres in Fort Erie, Wainfleet and Port Colborne will continue to let people know of the services, as well as Hamilton, Brantford and London.

The government says through the 2026 budget, funding for the plan has increased to $3.4-billion between 2025 and 2029.
