School Bus Ontario says it's time to give driver's a raise
Parents in cities across Ontario are being warned to prepare for another year of school bus driver shortages
School Bus Ontario wants the Ford government to fix what it calls a flawed system.
The group argues school bus contracts are given to the lowest bidders who then in turn pay low wages to their drivers
They say drivers make between $16 and $20 an hour which just isn’t enough to attract qualified candidates
The head of the group telling CP24, parents should expect driver's shortages and delays this school year, particularly in the Toronto and Hamilton areas.
