Niagara West MPP says money will help as tourists come globally
Over $1-million of provincial money to be spent on 19 festivals and events across Niagara.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff made the announcement today, saying the money is coming from the 2026 Experience Ontario Program.
He says it's in line with the Destination Niagara Strategy, supporting the region to tourists from around the world.
Some examples include $125,000 for the Jackson-Triggs concert series, Shaw Festival, Niagara Grape and Wine festival, and $125,000 for Canal Days.
The government says the money is part of a $20-million investment, supporting almost 400 festivals across Ontario.
