Health Minister Christine Elliott is reporting 864 new cases of COVID-19 today and 348 people are currently being treated for the virus in Ontario hospitals.
ONTARIO - Ontario is reporting 864 new cases of COVID-19 today.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says this total includes 655 people who are not fully vaccinated or have unknown vaccination status.
She adds 348 people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital. This includes 319 people who have not been fully vaccinated or have unknown vaccination status. The remaining 29 patients have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Elliott says 87.7 percent of eligible Ontarians have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine so far and 78.5 percent have been fully vaccinated.
In Ontario, 21,283,180 vaccine doses have been administered. 84.7% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 78.5% have two doses.
