Local post-secondary schools receiving funds to modernize facilities, learning tools and equipment
Niagara College and Brock University are getting some money from the province.
The schools are getting nearly a million dollars to modernize their facilities.
The announcement was made by MPP Sam Oosterhoff.
"This support will ensure students at Niagara College and Brock University have access to the latest instructional tools and equipment to meet business and industry standards," said Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West.
Niagara College is getting $825,000 from the College Equipment and Renewal Fund.
The money will be used towards industry-standard PLC, process automation and mechatronics workstations, as well as mixed-reality headsets.
Meanwhile, Brock University will get $174,800 from the Training Equipment and Renewal Fund.
The school will use the money to buy patient simulators for its nursing program.
