Top doctor has media conference set for today

Dr. Kieran Moore has a media conference set for this afternoon at 3:00.

No word what he will announce.

The province is expected to announce it is bringing back restrictions for visitors at long term care homes.

Toronto media reporting the Ford government, fearing the ongoing spread of the Omicron variant, will require all visitors to the homes be fully vaccinated.

Currently, anyone visiting can enter with a negative COVID-19 test.

As well, sources say the province will also only allow two visitors per resident at a time.

There is also word the Premier is considering ramping up its booster shot program.
