Premier Doug Ford is sticking up for Long-Term Care Minister Merrilee Fullerton.
Ford, who has completed his two week isolation period after a COVID-19 exposure, says he takes responsibility for the all the tragedies within the long-term care system, and vows to make positive changes.
His comments come about a week after the province's Long-Term Care COVID-19 Commission released a report criticizing the government's response to the pandemic.
NDP Leader Andrea Horewath condemned the Premier for not firing Fullerton, saying she's "disappointed" in his defense of Fullerton.
Horewath is among the opposition leaders calling on the province to increased paid sick leave and permanent wage increases to personal support workers.
