Premier Doug Ford says the province is working on a plan to provide workers with paid sick leave benefits.
He made the announcement virtually, as he is self-isolating after having contact with a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19.
No further details on what the plan entails were provided.
Ford went on to say that the province moved too quickly in announcing new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
"I know that some of those measures, especially around enforcement, they went too far. Simply, we got it wrong. We made a mistake."
On Friday, the premier announced additional police powers, giving officers the go ahead to randomly stop people to ask them why they weren't at home during the stay at home order.
The move was widely criticized, with forces across the province refusing to enforce the measure.
