Says Tim Hortons head office offered her a free lunch
A Port Colborne woman telling a harrowing tail alleging she swallowed a screw from a Tim Hortons coffee.
In an interview with CTV News, Carolyn Wells says her daughter came to visit her on April 23rd and brought over iced coffees from the Tim Hortons near her house.
She says she started choking and her daughter tried the Heimlich Maneuver but it failed to dislodge the screw.
Wells says her daughter then jumped on her back which caused the screw to fly out across the room.
She filed a complaint and the manager of the local Timmies said they determined the screw had fallen out of the ice machine into her coffee.
Wells complained to Tim Hortons head office and was offered a free lunch, which she calls a slap in the face.
