Police say this happened in communities along shore of Georgian Bay
Police have charged a 25-year old Port Colborne man in relation to a rash of break and enters in the Meaford area, on the shores of Georgian Bay.
Since last August, police have been looking into residential and business thefts, and last month found stolen property at a business in Dundalk, and Meaford.
Three people were arrested at the time.
Police say on Tuesday, Robert Plant was arrested:
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (three counts)
He was released from custody, and appears in Owen Sound court in May.
Police add so far they've found about $43,000 in stolen power tools, chainsaws, and a rifle, most returned to rightful owners.
