They crushed their fundraising goal, raising $61,101 for the Port Cares Reach Out Centre.
An anonymous donor wrote a cheque for $2,500 in early April and they promised to donate another $2,500 if the centre receives $20,000 worth of donations by the end of the month.
The community stepped up to donate and Executive Director Christine Clark Lefleur says another anonymous donor even donated $10,000 worth of grocery cards from the Port Colborne Sobeys.
The money raised will help keep the shelves stocked at the food bank and benefit other Port Cares Services.
