The leaders of Canada's main political parties all spoke about health care today.
During a stop in Mississauga, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau promised his government would ensure enough vaccinations for all Canadians to have access to free COVID-19 booster shots, as well as provide a billion dollars to help provinces implement vaccine passport systems.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh was in Thunder Bay earlier today, speaking of his party's single-payer public pharmacare plan.
He says his plan would save the average family about $550 a year, and would include working with the provinces and pharmaceutical companies to make prescription drugs free.
And Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole was in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, pledging to increase employment insurance benefits for seriously ill workers to 52 weeks from 26, which he says would help people battling from life-threatening illnesses.
