A $50,000 reward remains to solve case
Today marks the 1-year anniversary when a Meridian Credit Union in Niagara Falls was robbed, with a reminder of a $50,000 reward to help solve the case.
The NRP was called at around 8 in the evening, on February 23rd, to the Portage Road location, concerning an armed robbery.
They learned two men entered the bank, with a gun, and demanded money from the employees.
After receiving an undisclosed amount, police believe the two fled in a white, Dodge caravan with stolen licence plates.
There were no injuries.
Police add a $50,000 reward from the Credit Union, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects, remains in force.
Suspect #1 is described as follows:
- Black male
- 50 years of age
- 6’0” tall, slim build
- Wearing a black mask
- Wearing a black jacket
- Wearing black gloves
- Wearing dark grey pants
- Wearing black shoes
Suspect #2 is described as follows:
- Black male
- 30 years of age
- 5’9” tall, medium build
- Wearing a mask
- Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with “BARRIE” on the left chest and a maple leaf logo underneath
- Wearing black pants
- Wearing burgundy shoes
