There were crashes yesterday through Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville, police adding weather wasn't bad
Yet another appeal from provincial police for increased driver awareness on area roads and highways.
They dealt with a number of crashes yesterday, including a multi-car collision on the 403 in Oakville.
Sergeant Kerry Schmidt adds there was also a crash between a car and transport in the off ramp from the 403 to Fairview St. in Burlington, when the car decided to leave after being parked on the shoulder.
"It does appear the driver of this car turned right in front of this transport truck without giving any warning. Please be aware of your surroundings when you're making any movement, plan ahead. There's no environmental issues here, visibility is good," he says.
Police say the 52-year old woman driving the car is being treated at hospital, after the truck broadsided the car.
Hamilton police also dealt with more than one collision.
