OPP charges 655 motorists with impaired driving during Festive RIDE campaign.
Ontario Provincial Police has wrapped up its annual Festive RIDE campaign.
During the 46 day campaign, 8,370 RIDE events took place across the province, and 655 motorists were charged with impaired driving.
The OPP says 246 Warn Range suspensions were issued to drivers whose breathalyzer tests registered 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
Throughout the year, the OPP conducts RIDE events on roads, trails and waterways in an attempt to stop impaired drivers.
