OPP reporting a large spike in deaths on the road this year.
If you're hitting the road this long weekend, OPP is reminding you to be careful while driving.
The OPP says there has been a significant jump in preventable deaths on roads this year.
So far, there have been 203 deadly collisions on OPP-patrolled roads, and 229 people have lost their lives.
The fatalities include 33 motorcyclists, 17 pedestrians and nine cyclists.
The OPP also says there have been 19 deaths related to off-road vehicles, which is higher than last year, and 20 boating fatalities, which is near last year's mark.
