Last year, seniors across Canada lost $138 million in various frauds
June is Senior's Month in Ontario, and the OPP is raising awareness about scams that target the elderly.
According to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, seniors lost about $138 million last year in scams.
Over half of that came from investment frauds, which promise higher than normal returns.
Romance scams also ranked high on the list.
