Funeral for Constable Greg Pierzchala starts at 11 in his hometown
A private funeral is this morning for an OPP officer who was shot dead in an ambush attack last week.
The force says the service for 28-year-old Constable Greg Pierzchala will start at 11 at the Sadlon Arena in his hometown of Barrie.
His family will be joined by many other police forces and first responders, the Canadian Armed Forces, and politicians including Premier Doug Ford.
The constable was killed while responding to a call for a vehicle in a ditch west of Hagersville on December 27th.
