Dr. Kieran Moore urges parents to update vaccinations
Ontario's top doctor is warning of a potential increase in the number of measles cases after two were reported in the GTA.
Dr. Kieran Moore says there are currently four cases in Canada and the two in Ontario are in children who recently travelled outside of Canada.
Moore says with March Break coming up healthcare practitioners should encourage vaccinations and report possible cases.
Just last week it was reported 55-hundred unvaccinated students in Niagara were facing suspension.
Niagara Region Public Health officials are urging families to get children vaccinations up to date as a March 19th deadline for compliance looms.
