On July 21st, residents will be able to enjoy free day-use access to provincial parks
Ontario residents will soon have a chance to enjoy provincial parks for free.
As part of Healthy Parks Healthy People Day, Ontario Parks will offer free access to provincial parks during the day this Friday.
This is part of a global movement to encourage people to get out and enjoy nature.
"Ontario’s provincial parks have always been a place of comfort, relaxation and adventure for families, individuals and communities alike, making memories that last a lifetime," says Environment Minister David Piccini. "As the largest operator of outdoor recreational opportunities in the province, Ontario Parks offers programs and facilities to enjoy nature year-round, regardless of your outdoor experience. In most parks, you can go hiking, cycling, paddling, swimming and more! These activities promote physical health and contribute to our overall well-being and happiness."
To guarantee access, visitors are advised to get a daily vehicle permit here.
