The government says legislation to do the work, if passed, is long overdue
There are plans to renovate the Ontario legislature.
The government is proposing a new ministry to oversee the work at Queen's Park.
Legislative Affairs Minister Paul Calandra has introduced the bill, saying it'll look into a long-overdue restoration, and provide for the temporary relocation of the legislature.
It has been estimated that a project of this scale could take eight years.
