Deadline extended to November 1st.
Ontario is extending the deadline for child-care operators to opt into the 10-dollar-a-day program by two months to try to get more providers to sign on.
According to the Canadian Press, a letter was sent out to municipalities informing them that the deadline has been extended to November 1st.
The letter says the extension will give operators more time to make decisions, while helping parents save money on child care costs.
The government says parents will still see child care savings of about 50 percent by the end of the year.
