Ford Escape collided with mobility device
An 88 year old man is dead following a collision last week in Welland.
Police say just after 9:00 a.m. on July 22nd, emergency crews were called to the intersection of Thorold Stone Road and Prince Charles Drive.
Investigators say a red Ford Escape hit a mobility device being operated by the victim.
The man was taken to hospital, where he later died.
The Ford was being driven by a 46 year old Welland woman.
Detectives from the Niagara Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Forensic Services Unit continue to investigate, and no charges have been laid yet.
Nearby residents and businesses with closed circuit security cameras or dashcam footage are asked to review their footage for any suspicious activity between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. on July 22nd.
